2017 Youth Mission Trip

2017 Youth Group Mission Trip

Sixteen teens from our Youth Group participated in a week-long mission physically being the hands of God to help those in need.  Home base was the Crossroads Retreat Center with a different challenge each day: sorting food and repacking at the food bank of New Jersey, preparing and serving lunch at a soup kitchen, fishing with a family on respite, planting crops and weeding at a community farm.  Their reflections are expressed in this mission trip video. St. John's Chamber Ensemble

The newly established St. John’s Chamber Ensemble is made up of woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.  The regular members are currently in 5th - 8th grade, but we hope this will come to include 9th grade and beyond as our musicians grow up. Players with at least a year of playing experience are always welcome to join.   The ensemble works on a flexible rehearsal schedule which is based on upcoming performances. View

Dedication - May 15, 2016

On May 15, 2016 we held a Service of Dedication and Thanksgiving.  It was a dual celebration of our new space and the people who had made it possible through the Built By Love campaign, and the 110th anniversary of the consecration of our church.  The dedication was led by The Right Rev. Mark Beckwith, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark. View
